Getting started with wedding stationery

THE BUDGET

The most important piece is typically your budget. Stationery is typically about 6-7% of your overall wedding budget; we have a general guide that can go through the different options so you can keep costs to a minimum.

ORDERING ONLINE

We are an online only boutique studio, featuring a carefully curated set of designs, ready for your customization. We offer all of the details on our site, s well as pricing.

WHEN TO ORDER

You will place 3 separate orders:

• Save the Dates: 6-8 months in advance
• Invitations: 5-6 months in advance
• Ceremony/Reception (day of): 7-8 weeks in advance

By following this timeline, it will keep you stress free and on budget!

HOW MANY TO ORDER

Save the Dates + Invitations: You will count the number of addresses (not guests) and add 10-20 extra for keepsakes, lost mail, and for photography.

Reception/Ceremony (day of): Most items are purchased per guest (menus, place cards, etc.). Program quantities are typically 70% of the guest count (example: 200 guests would mean ordering 140 programs).

WORDING & ETIQUETTE

We have a wording guide to offer assistance with your wording; you are also welcome to drop us a note during checkout if you need suggestions!

RSVP DEADLINES

Your RSVP deadline should be a minimum of 5-6 weeks from your wedding date. This gives you the chance to track down anyone you didn't hear from, prepare your day of stationery and to notify your venue.

DAY OF STATIONERY (ceremony/reception)

Many forget about the stationery needs for the wedding day - menus, programs, escort and place cards, itineraries, thank you notes, etc. Make sure to leave room in your budget for these last minute items, so you can ensure they coordinate with the rest of your stationery.
